Works under general direction to plan, implement, supervise and evaluate technical aspects of assigned projects and tasks. Provide direct supervision to project personnel, review technical progress, evaluate results and takes action as required. Has latitude for un-reviewed technical decisions and actions. Responsibilities Include: Concept Design, Detail Design, and integration of mechanical and electrical components/subsystems in mobile military combat systems; Creation of System, Subsystem, and Component-level specifications; Engineering calculations; Subsystem/Component selection; Technical Data Package preparation; Technical management of system performance, budget, and schedule for assigned project; Supervision of engineers/technical personnel; Interaction with customers, suppliers, and engineering resources; Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
B.S. Degree in Engineering, related science, or equivalent education required; advanced degree and/or P.E. license desired; 6+ years applied design experience on ground vehicles with working knowledge of the following disciplines: mechanical, electrical, S/W integration; Experience in subsystem and system-level integration; Effective, well developed written and verbal communication skills; Demonstrated leadership skills, with ability to function both as a team lead and a team member; Experience in proposal preparation. Advanced degree or P.E. license; 8+ years'''' experience; Project management experience; 2+ years'''' experience using ProE 2001 in a design environment desired.
