The duties and responsibilities include.. Designer to work directly with Lead Designers and Engineers to create drawings, change and/or create models and assemblies, and perform engineering changes to achieve project goals. CAD data created and maintained in Catia V5 R17 Data management utilizing Smarteam PLM software. Provide support for development of prototype parts including SLA models, machined parts, and others. Understanding of design intent and utilization of CAD Solid modeling best practices required. Product release and maintenance of engineering change requests. Understanding of ASME and/or ISO design & drawing standards preferred.
Job Requirements Our ideal candidate will possess the qualifications and skill set listed.
Associates Degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred. CAD Designer 2: 2-5 years 3D Parametric Software design and drafting experience minimum. CAD Designer 3: 5-10 years 3D Parametric Software design and drafting experience minimum. Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude required. Catia V5 & Smarteam experience preferred (Solid Works, Pro Engineer, etc. experience accepted). Experience in plastics or steel component design. Basic understanding of engineering processes and continuous improvement methods. Excellent written & oral communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently. Should be an Energetic, Motivated, and Detail orientated individual.
