A leading manufacturer of consumer products is seeking qualified individual to fill a key new position.
We have a new opening for a Senior Product Engineer with electronic design experience in high volume consumer electronic products. Activities include the design of new products, cost reduction, product improvements and project management. This position oversees the timely implementation of specific engineering projects from concept through production. The employee interacts with all company departments for successful project implementation.
Qualified candidates will possess a BSEE degree with 4 to 8 years of experience in the design of consumer electronics. This position requires experience with electronic circuit and printed circuit board design. High voltage power supply design experience is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, MS Project, Excel, P-CAD, Internet software, E-mail, database software, and contact management is required. Experience with approval agencies, such as UL and CSA, is desirable.
Some travel will be required, including international travel.
Candidates should have a proven history of providing independent leadership and management of product development projects. Beyond these core requirements, you will need superior communication skills, the ability to motivate others and a passion for achieving your goals.
