Position Description: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is required to support a wide variety of electronic, mechanical and electromechanical product areas through all phases of the product life cycle. Will work with product development teams providing reliability engineering support of commercial and consumer equipment.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Understanding of physical properties including shock, vibration, temperature, acceleration, force, torque, stress, pressure and displacement.
2. Transforms performance requirements, design objectives or problem investigations into test planning and methodology.
3. Verifying and validating proposed and/or implemented changes to existing products.
4. Participating with product failure analysis collaboratively with project engineers, including the suggestion of product design improvements based on observations and test results.
5. Coordinate testing and issue test reports for design, analysis, and material property verification.
6. Perform analytical predictions of test results.
7. Performs stress analysis and predictions for reliability
8. Participate in design FMEA's
9. Define accelerated life testing specification and coordinate testing effort


Education & Experience
REQUIREMENTS

1. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and have verbal, writing and organizational skills to maintain all records and provide data to project engineers, managers and support problem resolution
2. Experience with writing test plans, procedures, and reports.
3. Knowledge in basic reliability statistical tools such as weibull concepts
4. Experience in planning and developing reliability tests
5. Knowledge in conducting data collection and analysis
6. Experience in analyzing product stresses and performing reliability predictions
7. Knowledge in conducting failure analysis to identify product failure modes and mechanisms
8. Ability to work well with others in a team approach.

EXPERIENCE

' 4 years experience in an engineering role

EDUCATION

' BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Reliability Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
