· Assume overall project responsibilities for minor development projects including design review, BOM modifications, cost reduction actions, etc. · Coordinate development of CAD databases, drawings of parts and assembly requirements, prototypes, and establish project cost guidelines and schedules. · Oversee final design and detail of products and/or parts while meeting production schedule. · Establish test requirements, perform tests on prototype parts, and resolve issues related to in house design, lab testing, quality and reliability.
Requirements:
· BSME with 2 – 3 years experience in the high-volume design of electro-mechanical consumer products (vacuum cleaners, power tools, major appliances, personal care appliances or lawn and garden equipment), or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to perform duties as listed and effectively communicate and implement changes when needed, while keeping costs at a minimum.
